Sunshine Coast Lymphoedema Support Group
The Sunshine Coast has an active support group that meets monthly. They meet on the fourth Monday of each month at 10.30am in the Qld Cancer Fund premises, WIN TV Centre, Corner of Maroochydore and Baden Powell Road, Maroochydore. All those interested in Lymphoedema are invited to contact the group the meeting is followed by a shared lunch. The group has produced an informative laminated bookmark, distributed into local hospitals, surgeries information packs. A cookbook is being produced and each year usually in May an Awareness Day is held for the general public. In some circumstances, the group is able to help with the purchase cost of compression garments and provide financial help to pensioners and those who are experiencing financial difficulty. Support the group by joining the Lymphoedema Association of Queensland they offer advice, support and a quarterly newsletter “The Node News”.
